Lacey Jane Hull

Lacey was born on March 23, 2010. She weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21 in long. The delivery went well and we both got to go home the next day. Olivia on the other hand got sick the day Lacey was born. She stayed at grandma Hull's for a couple days and came home sicker than ever. We took her to the docter and she had a double ear infection and a horrible cough. She is 100% now, but Lacey got her cough. It is crazy taking care of a 1 year old and a new born, but I think we will make it through. Lacey does have a cough, but other then that she is doing great. She finally got on a schedule, she is eating well, and only cries when she is hungry. Olivia didn't know what to make of Lacey at first, but now she likes to come and touch her softly. Sometimes she gets a little rough and Lacey has had a couple scratches from her. I have noticed that Olivia cares for her baby dolls differently now. It is so cute. She carries them all over and today I gave her a bottle so she can feed her baby.

Update

It has been a long time since my last post, so I will try to give a brief update. We have settled into our new house and are loving it. Olivia has grown up so much and has learned lots. She turned one the end of October. We had a little party for her with just our family. At first she was overwhelmed with so many people there. But by the end of the party she was showing off for everyone. For Thanksgiving we went down to St. George to visit my grandparents and spend time with my family. For Christmas we were in Preston to be with Aaron's family. Holidays are so much different now with Olivia. They are so much better! I can't wait for all the future holidays with our growing family. We are expecting another baby girl! I am due the first part of April, but have had some complications. We didn't know how this pregnancy would go after Olivia came so early. The first of December we found out that there was a very good chance this baby was going to be early also. So I had a small surgery to put a cerclage in and I am getting weekly injections of a steroid to prevent contractions. I have had many, many ultrasounds and doctor visits. I have to take it very easy. I was on bed rest off and on all of December. The beginning of January the doctor put me on strict bed rest and I also received two steroid shots to develop the baby's lungs. The doctor said it could be any time now. It is still so early, but we are at least very grateful to make it this far, 3 weeks longer then when Olivia was born. Both of our parents have been amazing. They have taken turns watching Olivia while Aaron is at work. We are so grateful for them and wouldn't know what to do without them. We are so excited and blessed to have the chance to have another baby. I am now in Burley with my family and don't have any of my pictures with me. I will have to post lots later. So here is a picture of Olivia and my brother Cole. Have a great day!

Picture Update

This is Olivia in a dress that I wore when I was a baby. I think it's cute that she is holding the skirt up. It almost looks like she did it on purpose.

We spent last week in Burley for my sister Kristy's graduation.

It was fun to be with family and Olivia got to spend time with her grandma, grandpa, aunts, and uncles. Here is uncle Cole. He was protecting a sleeping Olivia on the couch so no one would sit on her. He soon fell asleep. It was pretty cute.

Uncle Slade got Olivia to sleep!Olivia is now 7 months old.

February, March, & April

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. So that means I have a lot of catching up to do. February was pretty significant for Olivia. On Feb. 5th she weighed 9 lbs 11.5 oz. We took her off of oxygen, off of all the monitors, and off of the thickening I had to add to her bottles. It is so much easier to care for her and it is a relief knowing she is not dependent on anything. The eye doctor said her eyes have completely developed with no problems and her pediatrician is amazed at how fast she is catching up. This picture was taken on Feb. 26th when she turned 4 months old.
During the last couple months we have spent time at both grandma's and grandpa's. They all love spending time with Olivia. This picture is Olivia sleeping with grandpa Beck.

March was kind of crazy. Olivia had her 4 month apointment on the 5th. She weighed 11 lbs 12.5 oz and she was 22 1/2 in long. We were in the middle of trying to buy a house and we ended up closing on it 3 weeks after our original closing date. My sister Kristy and her friend Jessie came to stay with us during their spring break. This is Olivia's 5 month picture on March 26th.

Aaron's mom and sisters threw a baby shower for Oliva on March 28th. It was so much fun and so many people came. Olivia got lots of cute things. Thanks for the wonderful shower. Olivia was blessed on March 29th. We had lots of family come to Malad. It was such a great day. Here is Olivia in her blessing dress.
Here is the back of her dress.
On April 3rd Olivia weighed in at 13lbs 1oz. On April 4th my aunts on my mother's side threw Olivia a baby shower. I couldn't believe how many people came. It was such a great day thanks for everyone that came and helped with the shower. Olivia is one lucky girl. On the 6th we finally got to move into our new home! We love it lots. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and we are in a really nice neighborhood. We had lots of help moving into our house. Aaron's mom was such a great help with Olivia so I could move and unpack. Lots of neighbors and friends helped with the big stuff and my mom and sister Kristy came for the weekend to help. Here is a picture of our new house.
On April 16th we got a visit from Aaron's sister Amy and her daughter Tara. We hadn't seen them for a while and it was fun to have them stay at our new house. Tara loved taking care of Olivia. Here is a picture of her and Olivia.
Here is a cute picture of Olivia I took after church on the 19th.Olivia turned 6 months old today the 26th of April and here is her picture.
